Our Story
Our love story is like the ultimate romantic comedy, but with a dash of cosmic destiny and a sprinkle of caffeine. It all kicked off during Thanksgiving 2021 when Lexi and I managed to transcend the superficiality of online profiles. Who knew that "swiping right" could lead to a connection so profound?
Our first face-to-face encounter unfolded in a coffee shop—classic, right? But this wasn't your average latte-sipping affair; it was more like a six-hour extravaganza. A coffee date turned into a Wash Park adventure, and suddenly we found ourselves in the midst of a magnetic forcefield of love. It was like our souls had scheduled a cosmic rendezvous ages ago.
Despite the initial challenge of being in different time zones—Lexi in Denver and James in San Diego—we embarked on a four-month long-distance rollercoaster. The miles between us were no match for the bond we were building. James, being the romantic hero he is, decided to tackle the distance head-on. He uprooted himself and moved to Denver—a real-life gesture that Hallmark movies are made of.
Fast forward to March 4, 2022, at the breathtaking Garden of the Gods. James, being the smooth operator he is, knelt down and presented Lexi with a sparkly engagement ring. She didn't just say yes to the bling; she said yes to a future filled with love, support, and endless adventures. Cue the confetti!
Our love isn't just a Lexi-and-James thing; it's a family affair too. James made a surprise visit to Michigan to get the blessing of Lexi's parents. Talk about going the extra mile! Lexi was swooning, reaffirming her belief that James wasn't just a partner; he was a partner who went above and beyond to build a foundation of love and respect.
